What Are Ball Lock Gas Fittings?

A ball lock gas fitting  is a type of quick-connect no-leak coupler that is commonly used in the wine and brewing industries.

Ball lock gas fittings are mostly used with Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen gases on tanks and kegs. They can also be known as a keg coupler or keg post.  The fittings consists of two types, a male fitting and a female fitting, that lock into place with a ball and spring mechanism when pressed together. The fitting can be easily disconnected by pressing the two parts together and releasing the ball lock mechanism.

All the ball-lock gas fittings we stock are ½” ball lock size, and have a full stainless steel body with EPDM Seals. This means they are suitable for a maximum temperature of 120°C and a maximum pressure of 215PSI / 15Bar.
