Steve is the big boss guy. He saves on everything (not so much on the hair). Has his mobile phone at the highest volume, which alerts not only him but the whole office. Consistent, especially at clearing the throat. Steve knows his wine and caps off the latest vintage of his vineyard with a bottle for the crew.

Steve has the experience to handle the big picture. He directs things like business improvements development and growth. Steve doesn’t keep his foot on the pipe; instead he allows scope for the youngest of the crew to make decisions.

PATRICK

South Island Sales

Patrick is a passionate inventor and our South Island Sales Manager. He dreams of matching Bill Gates’ wealth by releasing his project, Adventures of Patrick. His dedication to customer service and knack for problem-solving make him invaluable in his role. Patrick’s relentless pursuit of innovation drives him to create meaningful change.

MORGAN

Internal Sales

If you call the sales crew, be prepared to hear Morgan’s cheerful voice greet you! Fueled by energy drinks and a passion for customer service. He’s a communication wizard with a knack for making people smile. In his spare time you’ll find him tearing up off-road trails or casting his line into the water. And believe it or not, his favorite spot for a meal is the NPD gas station. 

Sometimes it’s hard to put a lid on it which could be down to his choice of V or three keeping up his young buck attitude full of energy.

DUSKY

Business Development SUPPORT

Meet Dusky our go to gal for maintaining our CRM database, turning data chaos into organised bliss with a touch of humour. Whether supporting our travelling sales team or handling admin duties, Dusky’s can-do attitude shines.

Off-duty, she can’t go past a game of volleyball and enjoys watching a good game of rugby! Fun fact: Our Internal Salesman, Morgan, is her brother, but don’t hold that against her! With fresh energy and a hint of office banter, Dusky helps keep the sales boys in line.

BRONTE

Marketing Assistant

First things first: it’s “Bront-tee,” not “Bron-tay” if you want to stay on her good side. Once you’ve mastered that, you’ll discover she’s our bubbly and driven Marketing Assistant. Motivated by a passion for creativity, she’s always ready to inject some excitement and ideas for the Marketing Department to hit the ground running.

Brontë is another F45 fan girl and social butterfly who thrives on fostering connections and building bridges between departments making collaboration a breeze.

CALEB

Product Information Management & 3D Modelling

Caleb’s our go-to guy for product information, website management, and technical product drawings.

Outside of work, Caleb’s interests take a shiny turn. He’s a tuba player in a brass band, though we promise not to make any jokes about tuba players as that would be a low blow…  When he’s not busy blowing minds with his tuba skills, he’s tinkering away on his 1974 Toyota Corolla.

Caleb brings his A-game, constantly coming up with innovative ways to provide customers with the stainless steel information they crave. With him on the team, we’re never caught with rusty data!

TED

Sales

Ted’s our go-to guy for all things sales support! He spots leads like a pro, keeps our database shipshape, and plans killer sales trips. Got a question?

Ted’s friendly demeanor and lightning-fast responses make clients feel like VIPs every time.

JAY

Outward Goods Team Leader

Jay is responsible for outwards goods. Ensuring himself and the team get the product picked correctly, packaged tightly, and sent to you on time. Not forgetting the freddo frog of course.

A scouser with a love for his football team, Liverpool FC. Jay has a British love for tea, or should we say teas. In his spare time, he loves to go Fishing or go hiking in the back country.

Positive and purposeful, Jay honors the outward goods. The motherland would tremor with pride.

JOHNNY

Outward Goods

Johnny has a great personality and brings lots of energy to the crew with his drive and willingness to learn. He enjoys anything social and can be amongst the leading instigators on a bit of party fun. In his spare time, he loves to play lawn bowls and has even won some titles, maybe due to not having to reach far to put bowl on the green. He is quick with a joke and will leave you bowling your eyes out.

A keen DIY enthusiast, unfortunately sometimes his projects don’t turn out so well, like the time he installed the pool fence in upside down. Not so good for happy wife, happy life.

JOHN

Inward Goods

John’s role involves shipment unloading, quality checking stock and order fulfillment and processing customers fabrication orders.

He’s particular man who likes things done right. He is not stubborn; his way is just better. John is what we call a dark horse, he is good at causing a stirrup with a bit of horsing around to get everybody laughing.

Hard-working and a caring man who will support, assist and get stuck into any job to make sure it gets done.

NICOLAS

Inward Goods Team Leader

Nico is the team leader of Inward Goods where he manages day to day operations processing daily goods upon arrival. He oversees tasks with fabrications, trucks, shipments, quality control and warehouse locations.

Being from Chile he can have a hot temperature especially if you call him Colombian, his enthusiasm is quite mild on a Monday morning. He finds it quite Chile in the Warehouse on a cold day….

He is great at pulling the language barrier card using his favourite word is “Que?” to get out of something. Nico loves to joke around while keeping a straight face so half the time you are figuring out if you should be laughing or not until he cracks that familiar smirk of his, then you know it’s safe to laugh out loud.

Nico brings a conscientious approach to the team, a reliable member with a wealth of knowledge to pull from to get the job done.

RU

IT/Systems Development

In the role of a committed system developer, Ru integrates efficiency into the company’s software, guaranteeing smooth operations and transforming glitches into a narrative within the company.

Beyond the realm of code, Ru discovers delight in anime marathons and the rhythmic bounce of a basketball. Ru’s commitment to refining the company’s ERP software goes beyond professional duty; it’s a passion that rises above the ordinary

BRENTLY

Purchasing & Operations Manager

Brently is responsible for how the business operates and functions on a daily basis. When he’s not busy keeping the company’s operations running like a well-oiled machine, he’s busy cracking jokes that make you groan and laugh at the same time.

Dad jokes are his specialty, and he’s always armed with one to lighten the mood and bring a smile to your face. Just be prepared for an eye-roll or two!

It goes to say Brently is incredibly hard working with a vast amount of knowledge to share. He enjoys a good problem to solve. Committed to the job and supportive of the crew, he’s always happy to help where he can and pass on his learnings.

LUKE

Internal Sales

Luke handles our inbox like it’s an oncoming pace bowler, dealing to incoming mail with efficiency, speed & accuracy and a run rate to give Kane Williamson a run for his money.

Luke is a key player in the Sales team and you can always expect to receive prompt, helpful service from him.

JESSIE

Business Development Support

Jessie has a Degree in Teaching, so managing children was once her profession. These skills have proven to be transferrable in her role as Business Development Support, as she spends her day looking after the Business Development and Sales Lads, keeping them in line! Jessie is responsible for ensuring potential leads, prospective customers and current customers are set up correctly in our system.

Jessie is what we call an ‘Active Relaxer’. Outside office hours you’ll find her outdoors, running laps around Blenheim, walking her dog Maxy down the river, working out, or coaching classes at F45 Blenheim! She tries to implement little workplace fitness challenges, but they haven’t been that much of a HIIT!

FRANK

Purchasing & Inventory

Frank is responsible for purchasing functions from NZ and Overseas ensuring we receive products into our warehouse.

Frank received a warning from the police on his first day of work. Well, have you seen the driving in Argentina? We wish they had issued the warning to us. He can try to be as Kiwi as possible, but the Tango never really wears off. His real name is Francisco, he’s not frank – He’s always telling us about a Ferrari he drives and that he finds himself ‘so awesome’ and ‘the best’ whether we ask or not.

Frank’s day begins with a Good Moooooorning to all the crew.

NICKY

Marketing Team Manager

You can take the girl out of Wellington, but you can’t take Wellington out of the girl… Nicky is a Hurricane’s fan through and through. Loves anything to do with being outside, near the ocean or following the views alongside her very quick dog (or far behind her).

Nicky’s responsible for the overall Marketing Department efforts, specifically working on optimising the digital marketing strategy, with a primary focus on improving the visibility and ranking of the company’s website and online content in search engine results.

LAURIE

Sales

Meet Laurie, our Tasman Region traveller! Passionate about customer connections and a pro with our RapidPress system. He used to install RapidPress – loved it so much, he switched sides! Now, he’s our RapidPress advocate, spreading the word with firsthand know-how and genuine enthusiasm.

Laurie’s your guy for product insight and belief in what we offer!

TREVOR

Deliveries

Trevor is referred to as the swiss army knife of the company. He can do it all! When he’s not out delivering packages to customers, he can be found tinkering with the Fisher family cars. He’s also an absolute chatterbox – one of those people who can talk for hours on end about nothing and anything. When Trevor’s not busy being a delivery driver or panel beater, he loves spending time with his family.

So if you ever see Trevor out on the roads, be sure to give him a wave – he’s always up for a chat.

JACOB

Outward Goods

A hard one to miss with his stature, Jacob is the Crew’s big friendly giant who can pick up a schedule 40 6m long length as if he’s picking up a matchstick.

His main role is picking the orders in the Warehouse but he is always happy to help out wherever he can. You’ll find Jacob down the sounds in his family bach listening to Hauraki Radio reeling in the catch up the day.

JOCK

Inward Goods

Meet Jock, the jack of all trades in the warehouse and is always a great helping hand, with an infectious smile that can brighten up the gloomiest of Mondays! This guy is so punctual, he arrives at work before time even realises it’s running late. Seriously, he’s like the superhero of timeliness!

When he’s not impressing us with his punctuality, Jock is busy cruising the streets on his trusty motorbike, feeling the wind in his hair. He’s a true adventurer, going on massive walks up Mt. Vernon just to catch a glimpse of the sun as it rises. Talk about dedication to vitamin D!

Jock is always striving for amazing customer experience always going above and beyond.

JAKE

Outward Goods

Let me introduce you to the one and only Jake, the man with a friendly “g’dayyy”. He loves to spin a good yarn, just make sure you not to get him started on his theories about why the T-Rex’s had such tiny arms – you might be there for a while.

As a warehouse veteran, Jake brings a wealth of experience to the TMC team. Jake’s always up for a good laugh, even if it means risking getting caught eating all the freddos. That’s right, Jake is our official taste tester – someone’s got to make sure those chocolate frogs are up to snuff before they go out to our customers.

When he’s not at work, you can find Jake hanging out with his doggos.

BRIANA

Finance Administrator

Meet Briana, the coffee-powered accounting wizard with a 3 year old in tow. She’s a fast learner, previously tamed numbers in a winery without touching her wine allowance… impressive!

When not sipping tea and watching Desperate Housewives, she brings youthful enthusiasm and killer time management to the numbers game. Don’t mess with her coffee fix or her spreadsheet skills

NESTOR

IT/Systems Development

Meet Nestor, our web whiz from Mexico. He turns website woes into digital wows with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript magic. Nestor’s the unsung hero ensuring our site runs smoother than a well oiled machine.

Surprisingly, he’s not into tequila—more of a rebel with a different taste. Outside the code circus he loves to spend time with his family and exploring new places with them.

VERNON

North Island Sales

Vernon is a nature enthusiast and finds joy in both firewooding and trekking through the native bush of NZ. As North Island Sales Manager at The Metal Company,  he thrives on creating growth opportunities and fostering strong partnerships.

His passion for the outdoors fuels his determination to strike a balance between professional success and personal fulfillment. With a keen eye for innovation and a keen interest in nature.

TRISTAN

Internal Sales

A great addition to the internal sales team bringing sales knowledge and ideas which are plentiful. Being a fellow cricket lover, Luke is very happy to finally have someone who matches his excitement for cricket chat and stats.

In his spare time you’ll find him hitting the bike tracks or taking part as a quintessential kiwi playing BYC with his son.

SINEAD

Documentation & Logistics

Sinead has a great sense of humour and always keen to hear a joke, unless it’s Frank or Brently’s Dad jokes and then she’s not so keen. She is repetitively raising the bar with her strict gym routines incorporating the same ethic into her work.

Handling all incoming shipments from overseas and liaising with suppliers throughout the process order there is no ‘weighting around’ for Sinead.  Sinead has impressive high attention to detail and gets it right every time keeping the purchasing department running efficiently and smoothly.

COURTNEY

Graphic Designer

Courtney loves the outdoors and is a big believer in the power of balance. When she‘s not out and about in search of her daily dose of caffeine, Courtney can be found at home, renovating her home or out hunting with her 5 dogs.

Courtney has an eye for TMC’s design and is great at accepting and implementing feedback even if it is the 14th Revision from the sales team. All in all, Courtney seems to have the perfect balance of work, play, and coffee. That’s why she’s the queen of balance!

MAX

Store and Internal Sales

Meet Max, the life of The Metal Company store! Always happy and smiling, Max is one of the younger bucks of the crew. He has the energy and hard work ethic that we love here at The Metal Company. Another fan of cricket (seems to be a running theme within the crew), he played for the Marlborough cricket team and has a great catch – howzaaaaat!

This comes in handy in his role if there is ever any fumbling while getting your order at the store front, we can assure you that nothing will get dropped.

OLIVER

Outward Goods

Olly, typical nickname for Oliver.  He is a quick learner with heaps of energy and a strong willingness to learn. He enjoys tramping, spear fishing, and fixing up cars, and he brings positive vibes to the team.

His main responsibility is picking and packing orders and is based in the Warehouse! With an accent that sounds like a royal family member, he adds a touch of class to the crew. One catch about him is his unhealthy addiction to chocolate milk.

JED

Outward Goods

Is not actually his real name, his real name is Jared. Some say performers use a stage name to retain anonymity… why? We will leave this here.

Jed is great with accents and funny voices, which could be due to many discussions about the weekend football with Jay causing a Chameleon effect.

Along with his attention to accents, Jed has a high attention to detail in his role and is very dedicated. With his humour and enthusiasm, he knows how to pick up the team morale and get things done. He is responsible for picking, packing, and dispatching the 2pm long length orders.

STEFAN

Inward Goods

A can do man with a great attitude, Stefan is a great addition to the inward goods team. In his role as a quality controller and inventory handler, he’s responsible for replenishing stock, preparing fabrications for welding, conducting fabrications such as cutting and threading, performing stock checks, receiving goods, and processing sales and purchase orders. Additionally, lending a hand at the dispatch by assisting in picking orders. Stefan comes into work everyday eager to work and always keen to learn.

When he’s not at work, you’ll find him mastering the art of fire spinning or hiking the nearest mountain in the beautiful Marlborough region.

ROCHELLE

Finance Manager

Rochelle is the master of numbers, she is the manager of the accounts team, crunching financial reports, budgeting like a boss, and keeping cashflow in check.

AKA the ‘Teacher’ if you need help with anything not just account matters, Ms Marfell is the go-to you can really count on her. A big fan of coffee which helps reduce her ‘Marf” moments. When she’s not chasing around numbers she’s chasing around her wild 4-year-old and has another baby on the way.

Rochelle’s vast knowledge and problem-solving skills is an asset to the company.

JP

IT/Systems Development

Meet JP, the Systems Functional Consultant extraordinaire with a penchant for turning complexity into order. By day, JP conquers NetSuite, masters finance, and slays projects. By night (and weekends), he loves anything in the outdoors.

Quirky habit? JP’s a certified workaholic, thriving on late nights and weekend work. Travel? Oh, JP’s laptop is a permanent travel companion, making the professional world his playground.
