Concentric reducers derive their name from their cone-like shape. They have both ends on the same axis, resulting in the smaller section being in the direct centre of the larger section when viewed head-on. This style of reducer is the most common.
On the other hand, eccentric reducers reduce the pipe to one side. They have a straight side and a cone-shaped side, causing the centerline to be offset. When viewed head-on, the smaller section is situated against one side of the larger section. These are particularly helpful on horizontal lines as they aid in proper drainage.
