Mac Unions have female BSP threaded end connections and are made up of 3 parts, the male part, female part and the nut.

Flat faced and conical faced mac unions each have their own unique advantages. Flat-faced mac unions have an EPDM seal between the two faces. Having this seal allows for excellent sealing however, because they are a flat faced union, pipework needs to be completely straight to create a tight seal. Flat faced mac unions are our customers preferred BSP union. Seals such as PTFE are able to be cut to suit. These have a temperature rating of 120 degrees. We stock flat faced mac unions from ¼” right up to 4”

Conical faced mac unions have no seal as they are stainless on stainless. These are suitable for a range of harsher liquids but are harder to create a leak proof seal. These have one concave face and one convex face which gives up to 5% deflection in pipework alignment. These have a temperature rating of up to 250 degrees. We stock conical faced mac unions from ½” right up to 2”
