Insertion rubber a general-purpose rubber and can withstand a low temperature range. They are predominantly used as a water seal and to protect against mild chemicals and has great durability. This material offers excellent sealing properties against air, dust, and water, good tensile strength, good abrasion resistance, and good temperature resistance ranging from -25°C up to +70°C. However, insertion rubber is not recommended for use with oils and petrochemicals.
We supply black insertion rubber as standard for our flange gaskets. For food grade and petrochemical applications, we recommend looking at our White Nitrile Food grade flange gaskets.
