Black EPDM O-ring Seals
The black EPDM rubber seal is standard for stainless steel and carbon steel systems. EPDM is suitable for temperatures between -20 and +120 °C and for pressures up to a maximum of 230PSI / 16Bar. It has a host of applications and is used for drinking water, heating, cooling, steam, fire fighting, compressed air (oil free) and inert gas systems.
Green FKM O-Ring Seals
The green FKM seal is used in high temperature or with harsh chemicals. It is suitable for temperatures between -20 and +220 °C and for pressures up to a maximum of 230PSI / 16Bar.
Yellow HNBR O-Ring Seals
The yellow HNBR seals are used with our gas rated press-fit system as they are resistant to ageing and heat. HNBR stands for Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber and is also known as Highly Saturated Nitrile or HSN. They are suitable for temperatures between -20°C and +70°C, and for pressures up to a maximum of 70 PSI or 5Bar.
White STEAM O-Ring Seals
The White seals are used for saturated steam press-sit system installations suitable for temperatures between –20 and 165°C and a maximum pressure of 7 absolute bars. The STEAM o-ring is compatible with hydrocarbons, oils and other aggressive substances. Made of AISI 316L, one of the best stainless steel alloys, tested and approved by the main International institutions.

The RapidPress Deburrer Tool is designed for use on RapidPress tube from 15-54mm but can also be used on other stainless tubes or pipes. Watch Patrick discuss what the deburrer tool is and how to use it.
The RapidPress rotary tube cutter is our preferred method of cutting tubes from 15mm – 76mm as it leaves a burr free edge on the external of the tube. Watch Patrick discuss how to use this tool.
When pipelines are heated or cooled it can cause them to expand or contract in length. If this is not compensated for it can put extreme pressure on welds or pressed joints resulting in failure. Watch Patrick discuss our RapidPress Expansion Bellows.
In our RapidPress bends range we stock Female-Female bends and Male-Female bends available in both 90 degree and 45 degree configurations. In our elbows range we stock a Male Female 90 degree elbow. Watch Patrick discuss the difference between our RapidPress bends and elbows.
In our RapidPress BSP Union range we have both the male and female BSP union’s available. Our RapidPress BSP Unions consist of three parts, the BSP end connection, a flat faced seal and the press end connection. Watch Patrick discuss.
The RapidPress coupler and RapidPress slip coupler are used for joining tubes and fittings from sizes 15mm to 108mm. Watch Patrick discuss the difference between these couplers.
The RapidPress depth gauge is an essential tool for quick and easy pipe work installation. It ensures the correct insertion depth of the tube into the coupling, creating a leak-free connection. The gauge comes with different measurements, allowing you to measure from 15mm up to 168.3mm. Watch Patrick discuss the correct use of the RapidPress depth gauge and why it’s important to use this every install.
Watch Patrick discuss on this episode of RapidPress Rundown the differences between the RapidPress Press-Fit System and threaded pipe systems.
The Novopress ACO203XL pressing tool is a Bluetooth model which allows you to connect your smartphone to this device to download any pressing data, pressing history or any servicing requirements. This tool here will press from 15mm up to 108mm. Watch Patrick discuss what the ACO203XL tool is and why it can make pipework installation quicker and easier.
The Novopress ACO203BT pressing tool makes installation of RapidPress press-fit systems quick and easy and utilises an M Press profile. Featuring Bluetooth connectivity to the Novopress app, a forward facing LED light. Watch Patrick discuss.
One end of the tool will deburr the external of the tube and the other end will deburr the internal.
Place the tool over the tube and apply slight pressure while twisting both back and forth. You just need 5-6 rotations, check the tube and repeat the process if required.

These tools are very simple to use but care does need to be taken to ensure a clean cut and to protect the blade for wear.
Press the release button to release the blade. Place over the tube and click into position so the blade is secured against the tube.
Ensure the guide wheels are sitting square against the tube.
Twist the handle in a clockwise direction to firmly secure the wheel against the tube. Do not apply excessive pressure or you will damage the blade.
Rotate the cutter 2 times around the tube and then retighten the handle.
Repeat this process until the cut is complete.
It is important to be patient when using this cutter to protect the blade and ensure a clean straight cut.
This cutter has a replaceable blade that can be purchased from us.
On the back of this tool there is a retractable deburrer. Also in the cap on the handle there is an area to hold a spare blade.

Our RapidPress seals up to sizes 54mm contain small ridges. These ridges create leakage before the seal is pressed which is termed as a ‘leak before press’. By having this feature it offers an added layer of security during system start-up. In the event of an unpressed or improperly pressed joint, the seal will visibly leak, providing an immediate visual cue for potential issues that require fixing.

If this is not compensated for it can put extreme pressure on welds or pressed joints resulting in failure.
There are many different ways to allow for this expansion but the RapidPress expansion bellows create an easy and space efficient solution.
Expansion bellows have pressed connections on either end of the fitting and a convoluted stainless centre.
There is a simple formula that can be used to calculate the expansion and contraction in a certain pipe run or alternatively you can refer to the table in the RapidPress Technical guide that makes this easy.
For example, a 12 metre pipe run that has a temperature difference of 90 degrees will have linear expansion of 17.8mm. Our 15mm expansion bellows can expand up to 16mm and our 108mm can expand a further 50mm. Each diameter expansion bellow has a different length of compensation. We can advise you how many bellows your pipeline will need to sufficiently compensate for this expansion.
Our expansion bellows come with a maximum number of work cycles at maximum compression. Sizes from 15 to 54mm have a lifetime cycle of 800 before we recommend changing the fitting. From 76mm to 108mm this lifetime cycle is 500. Further expansion compensation information can be found in our RapidPress technical guide.
We stock a range of sizes from 15mm up to 108mm in both our RapidPress Inox and Extreme Ranges.
